Background: Thomas Greiss was drafted by the San Jose Sharks as the 94th overall pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Greiss was called
up to be Evgeni Nabokov official backup goaltender for the 2009-2010 replacing long time backup Brian Boucher. The young goalie was a
star with the Worcester Sharks setting franchise records in wins (30) goals against average (2.47) minutes played (3,346), and appearances
(57). While Greiss has only seen one game of ice this season which resulted in a 4-3 overtime loss, the youngster does show the necessary
talent needed to be a great starting goaltender for the Sharks.

Background: Evgeni Nabokov as spent his entire nine seasons in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks having been drafted by the team as the 219
overall pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Nabokov played his first NHL game against the Colorado Avalanche, stopping all 39 shots he faced
resulting in a 0-0 tie. Nabokov would become the Sharks number one goalie during the 2000-2001 season after Steve Shields hurt his ankle and
win the Calder Memorial Trophy during the same season. Nabokov as been one of the leagues top goalies and the Sharks go to man when the game
is on the line. While he is coming off a season of less than impressive numbers, Nabokov has started the 2009-2010 season back on track with
a stellar 38 saves against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
