Background:Rob Blake was drafted 70th overall by Los Angeles Kings in 1998 and played with the Kings for 11 seasons.
He was then traded to the Colorado Avalanche in the 2000-2001 season, staying with the team for four seasons.
Blake would then come to San Jose after a two year stint with his old team the Kings and be named the new captain of
the Sharks fornthe 2009-2010 season. Rob Blake not only brings experience and leadership to the team but also a solid offensive record, that will help the Sharks win more games. Blake is already one of the premier assist men in hockey and already has 2 goals and one assist forthe season.

Background:Dan Boyle was signed as a free agent by the Florida Panthers on March 30, 1998, earing All-Rookie honors
in 1999 as well as Second Team All-Star honors in 1999 and 2000. Boyle earned a full roster spot in 2000-2001, recording
4 goals and 22 points. In his fourth season he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning, completing the 2003-2004 season with
20 points in 41 games. Bole was traded to the San Jose Sharks on July 4, 2008 along wih Brad Lukowich, Boyle was made
Alternative Captain by the Sharks in the 2009-2010 season. Boyle brings high offensive threats to the Sharks along with his
ability to protect the puck, Boyle has already gtten off to a fast start this season with 2 asssist and one goal for three points
in five games.

Background:Demers is another fresh faced rookie,who also has spent his first year in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks, after being picked
by the team in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. While playing with the Moncton Wildcats he was the teams leading defensive scorer, with 64
points, nine goals, and 55 assissts in 67 games. Demers impressed in the Sharks coaches Rookie Tournament showing what he can bring
to he table defensivly and offensivly. Demers already has two points recored in two consecutive games with two assists. Demers brings
size, quickness and offensive potential to he Sharks third and fourth lines.

Background:Kent Huskins was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1998 Entry NHL Draft, as the 156th overall pick and played for
Norfolk, San Antonio and Manitoba of the AHL. Huskins made his NHL debut on December 23, 2006 for the Anaheim Ducks in the game against
the Phoenix Coyotes. He was called up for good in the 2007-2008 season for the Ducks, winning the Stanley Cup with the team in 2007. He
was traded to the Sharks on March 4, 2009 along with Travis Moen. Huskins is a power defensemen, with the ability to block numerous shots
on goal, and already has tied a Sharks franchise record, with six blocked shots on Oct 6th against the KIngs. Hiskins is a power player,
with quick speed and the willingness to sacerfice his body to keep goals out of the net.

Background:Douglas Murray is also another player that has spent his entire hockey career with the San Jose Sharks, drafted by
the team in 1999 as the 241st overall pick and spent four seasons with AHL before being called up to the Sharks for the 2005-2006 and
2006-2007 season due to injuries on the team. He was signed to a new contract for the next four years during the 2007-2008 season.
Murray is known as the enforcer along with Jody Shelley, racking up hit after hit on opposing teams, Murray leads the team in hits and
is great becuase of his size and physical presence which enables his teammates to have more open ice which leads to more goals. Murray
can also score recording his first hat trick in this years pre-season Sept 25 vs. Colorado.

the number one Shark in hits, Vlasic is 1st on the team with blocked shots. This youngster has the ability to be a huge offensive threat once
he has a little more experience in the NHL but brings quickeness, toughness and smart defensive to the Sharks.
